Terms and conditions

Last updated: 24 October 2026

These terms govern the use of the Catacapea app, provided by Hundredjack OÜ, a private limited company under Estonian law, registry code 17310584, VAT number EE102905090, registered office Telliskivi tn 57, 10412 Tallinn, Estonia, email [email protected]. By using the app you accept them.

1. The service

Catacapea estimates where and when mushrooms are most likely, combining weather data, maps of the land, public reports and a calculation model. These are estimates: we don’t guarantee that there are mushrooms at a spot, nor that third-party data is always accurate, up to date or available.

2. Safety: read carefully

3. Account

To use the app you need a personal account, created with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for what happens with your account. You can delete it at any time from Profile › Delete account.

4. Free plan and subscription

5. What the plans include

6. Permitted use

The app is for personal use. It is not allowed to extract or resell the data, automate requests, get around the plan limits or use the app in a way that harms the service or the data providers.

7. Ownership and third-party data

The app, the calculation model and the texts belong to the provider. Third-party data remains with its owners, under their licences: see “Sources and licences”.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from eating mushrooms, from accidents during outings or from decisions based on the app’s estimates. Liability for intent and gross negligence and the rights the law grants consumers in a mandatory way remain unaffected.

9. Licence

The app distributed through the App Store is licensed under Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA): apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. These terms supplement it.

10. Changes and suspension

We may update these terms: the date at the top shows the latest version and we let you know about important changes. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.

11. Law and jurisdiction

Estonian law applies. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the mandatory protections of the country where you live still apply (Regulation (EU) 593/2008, Art. 6), and for any dispute you can go to the court of your place of residence, which is also the only one before which you can be sued (Regulation (EU) 1215/2012, Art. 18).
